EBA names USDC as EU's first 'significant' e-money token
The European Banking Authority (EBA) has designated USDC as the European Union's first 'significant' e-money token. Financial supervision of USDC will shift to the EBA on November 12, while France’s Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) will retain responsibility for governance and other corporate matters.
