AI job displacement to curb Asia-Pacific office demand: CBRE
Property consultancy CBRE reported on Thursday that AI-driven job displacement is expected to trim five percentage points off office space demand growth in developed Asia-Pacific economies over the next few years. The report stated that 3.9% of office jobs in developed markets, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, and New Zealand, are vulnerable to AI displacement, compared to 1.7% in developing markets.
