Amazon launches two "Bee" personal AI devices that can listen to conversations and provide summaries.
Amazon on Thursday unveiled two new "Bee" personal AI devices: the Bee Frontier wearable band and the credit card-sized Bee Eclipse smartphone accessory. Both devices are equipped with AI and microphones, capable of recording, transcribing, and analyzing conversations, providing summaries and "memory recall" features. The Bee Frontier is priced at $75, and the Bee Eclipse at $100, with a monthly Bee Pro subscription service available for $12 to unlock additional features. Amazon stated that the devices are designed to ensure no one, including Amazon, can access user data, and users can delete recordings at any time, with no audio stored. This move marks Amazon's latest foray into the AI hardware market, competing with AI wearables from other tech companies like Meta.
