Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has asked US Senator Marco Rubio to pressure Israel to halt attacks in southern Lebanon, including ceasing bulldozing operations to allow local farmers to access their fields. The two also discussed the Lebanese army carrying out its duties related to the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel signed in June. Despite the agreement, Israel continues to occupy parts of the country’s southern region.
