Binance announced covered-call and cash-secured-put strategies on October 15, requiring put sellers to lock full USDC reserves in their Funding Account for potential assignment. However, the exchange's linked Stock Options Trading Product Terms (version 1.0, effective September 1) and an older general FAQ (last updated October 9) still describe long-only trading and expressly exclude writing and short positions, creating an inconsistency with the newly announced selling strategies.
