Dozens of masked Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians and torched cars and olive trees during the olive harvest in the West Bank, the BBC reported. The attacks left at least 12 Palestinians injured, including four Palestinian-American dual citizens and Washington Post reporter Heidi Levine. The U.S. State Department condemned the criminal violence in the West Bank and called for an investigation and the arrest of the perpetrators. The United Nations said the number of settler attacks in the past two weeks has exceeded that of the entire harvest season last year.
