Odds for a Tesla-SpaceX merger on prediction market Kalshi have risen above 50%, with an expected occurrence in early 2027.
Traders on the prediction market Kalshi have raised the odds of Tesla and SpaceX merging by early 2027 to over 50%, following a report released by Barclays on Wednesday outlining potential forms of such a merger. As of Friday morning, the odds of a merger occurring before next March jumped from 29% to 56%, with odds for April and May also rising to similar levels. Barclays expects the merger could be announced before Tesla's annual shareholder meeting, which will be held no later than December 6, 2026. Analyst Dan Levy anticipates that the merger might be proposed as an AI vertical integration, involving Tesla's Robotaxi and Optimus with SpaceX's Grok and Macrohard.
