The U.S. Treasury International Capital (TIC) report showed that the UK's holdings of U.S. Treasury securities increased by $11.2 billion month-over-month in August, reaching $1.0095 trillion. This marks the first time on record that the UK's holdings have surpassed $1 trillion, setting a new record for the second consecutive month and solidifying its position as the second-largest foreign holder of U.S. debt.
