Nearly two-thirds of U.S. builders say immigration enforcement affects their workforce, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in losses, a survey shows.
Nearly two-thirds of U.S. homebuilders reported that immigration enforcement is impacting their workforce, according to a September survey by John Burns Research & Consulting. This figure is up from 23% in March and 13% a year ago. Scott Brannock, president of Tidewater Homes in Jacksonville and chairman of the Northeast Florida Builders Association, stated that the loss of labor has caused his company to be "almost at a standstill," leading national builders to miss projections and face hundreds of thousands of dollars in losses.
