Brent crude hovers around $109 as Ukraine resumes attacks on Russian energy facilities and oil tankers are attacked in the Middle East.
Brent crude oil prices hovered around $108.82 per barrel after Ukraine launched a large-scale drone attack on Sunday, causing fires at oil terminals and depots in St. Petersburg, Russia. Meanwhile, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that two oil tankers were attacked off the coast of Saudi Arabia in the Middle East on Friday. One unidentified tanker was hit by a rocket, and another, the ST3 tanker, was struck by an unknown projectile. The St. Petersburg terminal exports approximately 120,000 barrels per day of refined products, mainly fuel oil.
