Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it intercepted and destroyed a US MQ-9 drone over the Strait of Hormuz early on Tuesday, according to state broadcaster IRIB. The IRGC stated its advanced air defense system downed the drone.
