Goldman Sachs has raised its copper price forecast, expecting it to reach $14,700/ton by the end of 2026 and average $15,400/ton in 2027, up from previous estimates of $13,735 and $13,800. The bank projects supply deficits outside the US to reach 950,000 tons in 2026 and 220,000 tons in 2027, driven by declining mine output and strengthening Chinese demand.
