Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Hezbollah that the Israeli military would "severely harm" it if it participated in any Iranian attack on Israel. Katz also threatened that if Lebanon launched attacks on northern Israeli communities, Israel would strike the Dahiyeh region south of Beirut and could permanently occupy more Lebanese territory, including the Litani region, incorporating it into Israel's "security zone."
