SpaceX's AI business, encompassing its data centers and Grok agents, has been more profitable than investors expected in the second quarter. The company is shifting its focus from its space roots to artificial intelligence, which now constitutes 52% of its income. Elon Musk’s conglomerate reported $14.6 billion in third-quarter revenue on Tuesday, driven by growth across all segments, particularly its renamed “Super Intelligence” business line. This line includes the recently acquired Cursor coding tool, Grok bot, and its burgeoning neocloud business, which now boasts 1.7 GW of compute. Revenue was also boosted by approximately $1 billion from bitcoin price recovery and unspecified related-party income. The company's total capital expenditures reached $19.6 billion as it continues to build out a second data center project, Colossus II, and increase investment in Starship for satellite deployment and orbital data centers.
