Yemeni government forces claim to have repelled a Houthi attack in western Taiz.
Armed forces of Yemen's internationally recognized government stated they repelled an attack by Houthi forces on the western front of Taiz city. The statement claimed that fighting had been ongoing since morning near the city's old airport and the Madarat area, with Houthi forces suffering casualties and equipment losses. The Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces also reported that warplanes conducted airstrikes on Houthi personnel, combat vehicles, and missile launch pads in the western, southern, and eastern parts of the city, and shot down a Houthi drone.
