Iran calls on UN to condemn US naval blockade in Strait of Hormuz
Iran's envoy to the United Nations has asked the UN Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council to condemn the US maritime blockade of Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf region, Al Jazeera reported. Iranian Ambassador Gholamhossein Darzi sent a letter to the UN, calling on the Security Council to urge the US to cease its military aggression against Iran and lift the blockade, stating that Iran would exercise its right to self-defense in response to any act of aggression.
