CoinDCX has issued an updated statement: The previously flagged wallet was abandoned after being compromised in July 2025, and all user losses have been fully covered.
Indian crypto exchange CoinDCX has issued an updated statement explaining the on-chain activity of previously flagged wallets, including the TQKJQ address. The statement clarifies that these addresses are legacy addresses that were deprecated after being compromised in July 2025. Operational losses were caused by a combination of incorrect user deposits and a failure in the platform's automatic sweeping process. The exchange has fully absorbed these losses and has reimbursed affected users. CoinDCX emphasized that customer assets are securely stored in segregated cold storage, and current active hot wallets and user funds remain unaffected.
