Tomer Schwartz, CTO of Google-owned Wiz, has warned that the internet's legacy code is facing a "Vulnpocalypse." He noted that two critical vulnerabilities discovered in the PHP language last week affected approximately 70% of websites, with some even forced offline for repairs. Schwartz believes that artificial intelligence will accelerate the discovery and exploitation of new vulnerabilities, and manual patching can no longer scale to address the issue.
