Israeli forces and settlers are seizing more Palestinian land and carrying out construction work east of al-Majd village, southwest of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, to establish a new settlement named "Majd," according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa. Yasser al-Masharqa, head of the al-Majd village council, stated that the Israeli army began gradually seizing land east of the village in October 2023, prohibiting residents from accessing it. Over 2,000 dunams (approximately 500 acres) of farmland and pastures, which are the primary source of income for many residents, have been seized. He warned that the construction of the new settlement threatens residents' access to thousands of acres of farmland along the route.
