Iran's top security official, Mohsen Rezaei, stated that Tehran is awaiting the United States' response to its latest discussions with mediators. Rezaei claimed that Iran would change U.S. behavior by forcing the U.S. to accept its conditions before discussing other issues. The senior security official noted that one of Iran's seven conditions for opening the Strait of Hormuz is for the international community to formally recognize the agreement reached between Iran and Oman regarding the critical waterway, ensuring Iran's clear management of shipping lanes within the strait.
