SCMP: Binance disputes DefiLlama outflow statistics, stating funds transferred to its own new hot wallets were not counted
Binance reported net outflows of approximately $3.64 billion as of November 1, 3:30 PM GMT, according to the South China Morning Post. The DefiLlama dashboard cited in the report, however, showed outflows of $4.36 billion. A Binance spokesperson stated that the DefiLlama figures did not account for funds transferred into Binance's new proprietary hot wallets, thus deeming the statistics inaccurate, and added that official X updates were closer to the actual situation. The above represents the two sets of statistics cited in the report and Binance's explanation; it cannot be concluded from this that the two sets of data used the same methodology and cutoff time.
