Anthropic reports over 1,100% quarterly revenue surge ahead of IPO, commits nearly $900B in spending
AI leader Anthropic reported on Monday that its third-quarter revenue surged over 1,100% to $17 billion, up from $1.4 billion a year earlier. The company also disclosed commitments to spend approximately $895 billion, primarily on computing power, with $70 billion due by September 2027. During the July-September period, Anthropic recorded a net loss of $23.3 billion, mainly due to non-cash accounting charges related to its rising valuation. The San Francisco-based firm, founded in 2021, is preparing for a Wall Street listing later this month, aiming to raise around $100 billion at a valuation between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion.
