Saudi-led coalition intercepts ballistic missile fired by Houthi forces toward Medina; brief security alert lifted at Yanbu oil hub. The Saudi-led multinational coalition announced that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed a ballistic missile fired by Yemen's Houthi movement toward the Medina region. Prior to this, Saudi civil defense authorities had issued a potential danger warning near the strategic oil export hub of Yanbu along the Red Sea coast, before subsequently announcing that the threat had been neutralized. As a critical export terminal for the country's East-West Pipeline, Yanbu has continued to handle global crude oil and fuel shipments since the outbreak of the US-Israel war against Iran this February. Houthi forces subsequently denied targeting Medina, claiming their operations were directed solely at military bases and oil and gas facilities.
