Radix DLT is a full-stack Layer-1 distributed ledger technology protocol designed to address the challenges of scalability, security, and composability in DeFi applications. It utilizes the unique Cerberus consensus algorithm, combined with the Radix Engine execution environment and the asset-oriented Scrypto programming language, to achieve parallel transaction processing and atomic composability. The project previously explored DAG technology but ultimately developed Cerberus, which is better suited for sharded scaling. Radix aims to provide a more intuitive and secure development and usage platform for Web3 and DeFi, with its native token XRD used for staking and paying transaction fees.
