The core team of MultiversX (formerly Elrond Network) is led by co-founders such as Beniamin Mincu and Lucian Todea; Beniamin Mincu has extensive experience in the blockchain industry. The total supply mechanism for the EGLD token has been carefully designed, resulting from an upgrade of the legacy ERD token at a ratio of 1,000:1, with an initial supply of 20 million tokens. Its tokenomics model is designed to gradually release tokens through a deflationary mechanism, ultimately reaching a maximum supply of approximately 31.42 million tokens. As of July 2026, EGLD’s circulating supply and total supply will be roughly between 30.36 million and 30.37 million tokens.
