Svmuu News Morgan Stanley's spot Bitcoin ETF (MSBT) saw active trading on its first day, with over 1.6 million shares traded, recording approximately $34 million in inflows.
The fund tracks the CoinDesk Bitcoin benchmark price and charges a fee of only 0.14%, the lowest among similar products, leveraging its price advantage to enter the market competition.
In addition to low fees, MSBT leverages Morgan Stanley's extensive wealth management channels and is expected to attract traditional investors to allocate Bitcoin assets through its financial advisor network.
However, the market is still dominated by leading products, such as BlackRock's IBIT, which has already surpassed $53 billion in assets. Industry insiders predict that MSBT may divert some existing funds in the short term, but its long-term performance will still depend on its ability to sustain inflows.

Svmuu News Yuga Labs has reached a settlement with artist Ryder Ripps over a long-standing trademark dispute, signaling the near end of the legal controversy surrounding the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC).
According to the settlement agreement, Ripps and his partners will be prohibited from continuing to use Yuga Labs' related images and trademarks. The specific terms have not been fully disclosed.
The case began in 2022 when Ripps launched a copycat NFT series (RR/BAYC), using the same ape imagery as BAYC, and described it as a form of "expressive appropriation art." Yuga Labs subsequently filed a lawsuit for trademark infringement.
In 2023, a US court ruled that the copycat project constituted trademark infringement and initially awarded approximately $9 million in damages. A subsequent appeal court partially overturned that ruling and ordered a retrial, leading the case into a protracted tug-of-war phase.

Svmuu News: The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced the appointment of David Woodcock as the new head of its Enforcement Division, replacing the previous director who left the position.
Woodcock previously served as the Director of the SEC's Fort Worth Office (2011–2015), overseeing enforcement attorneys, examiners, and accounting teams, and was involved in investigations across nearly all major enforcement areas. Recently, he was a partner at the law firm Gibson Dunn.
Notably, Woodcock has no clear background in the cryptocurrency industry. This appointment comes at a time when the SEC's direction on crypto enforcement is generating controversy. Previously, disagreements over case handling and enforcement standards led to a relatively short tenure for the former head and drew congressional attention.
SEC Chairman Paul Atkins stated that this appointment will help strengthen efforts to combat "misconduct that causes the greatest harm to investors."

Svmuu News "Fed Whisperer" Nick Timiraos wrote that the ceasefire between the US and Iran provides an opportunity to resolve the serious threat currently posed to the global economy. However, for the Federal Reserve, this might simply be swapping one problem for another: persistent volatility in energy prices is enough to keep inflation elevated, yet not severe enough to significantly damage demand, thereby prolonging the situation of keeping interest rates unchanged. The minutes from the Fed's March meeting emphasized that this war is not the main reason for the Fed's reluctance to cut rates, but rather complicates the Fed's already quite cautious stance. Even before the conflict occurred, the path to rate cuts had already narrowed. The labor market has stabilized, alleviating concerns about a recession, while progress toward the Fed's 2% inflation target has stalled. The Fed did not adjust interest rates at its March meeting, partly due to concerns about the risks of a prolonged war. The risk that escalating conflict could drag down economic growth and lead to a recession was the last and strongest argument supporting a resumption of rate cuts. Paradoxically, however, the end of the war in the short term might actually make it harder, not easier, for the Fed to implement accommodative policies. This is because the ceasefire agreement eliminates the worst economic scenario—namely, severe price increases disrupting supply chains and damaging demand—which arguably is more important than eliminating the risk of new inflationary pressures.

Svmuu News According to U.S. government officials, the Trump administration is considering a plan aimed at punishing some NATO member states that he believes did not support the United States and Israel during the Iran war. The proposal includes withdrawing U.S. troops from NATO members that do not provide support and redeploying them to countries more supportive of U.S. military operations. This proposal is far less severe than Trump's recent threat to have the U.S. withdraw completely from NATO; without congressional approval, Trump lacks the authority to exit. The plan has circulated and gained support among senior government officials in recent weeks and is currently in the preliminary conceptual stage, being one of several options for punishing NATO under discussion at the White House. The White House previously stated that Trump believes NATO has failed the "test" and will discuss "withdrawing from the group" with Rutte. According to two government officials, in addition to troop redeployment, the plan may also include closing at least one U.S. military base in a European country, possibly Spain or Germany. Countries such as Poland, Romania, Lithuania, and Greece may benefit as they are seen as supporters. The plan could lead to more U.S. troops being deployed closer to Russia's border, likely angering Moscow. (Wall Street Journal)

Svmuu News: The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament issued a statement claiming that three key clauses of the 10-point proposal had been violated before the negotiations even began. These include: 1. Non-compliance with the clause in the Ten-Point Proposal regarding a ceasefire in Lebanon—the Prime Minister of Pakistan explicitly mentioned and declared this as an "immediate comprehensive ceasefire in all places, including Lebanon and other regions"; 2. An invading drone entered Iranian airspace and was destroyed in Lar City, Fars Province, which clearly violates the clause prohibiting any further infringement of Iranian airspace; 3. Denial of Iran's right to enrich uranium, which is included in Article 6 of the framework. Now, the "practical conditions" that were supposed to serve as the basis for negotiations have been blatantly and explicitly undermined, even before the talks began. Under these circumstances, implementing a bilateral ceasefire or engaging in negotiations is unreasonable. (Jin10)

Svmuu News According to the Fed's mouthpiece Nick Timiraos: The minutes from the Federal Reserve meeting show that an "overwhelming majority" of officials believe the pace of inflation easing may be slower than expected. This is primarily due to three intertwined concerns: the impact of tariffs on goods prices may take longer to dissipate; the pass-through effect of oil prices on core inflation; and years of inflation above target levels making inflation expectations more susceptible to new shocks. (Jin10)

Svmuu News According to the minutes of the Federal Reserve's March meeting, at the March meeting, the number of officials who wished to signal to the market that the next step might be a rate hike rather than a continued rate cut increased. The minutes showed: "Some participants believed that there was sufficient reason to include a two-sided description of the Committee's future interest rate decisions in the post-meeting statement." In contrast, the January meeting minutes only mentioned that "several" participants held this view. In the Fed's terminology, "some" refers to a larger number of people than "several." (Jin10)

Svmuu News: Following the outbreak of the Iran war, Federal Reserve officials weighed different scenarios facing the U.S. economy, including those that might necessitate interest rate cuts and those that could require rate hikes. The minutes from the March FOMC meeting, released on Wednesday, showed that most officials were concerned the war could impact the labor market, potentially warranting lower interest rates. At the same time, many officials also emphasized inflation risks, which might ultimately require raising rates to address. The minutes indicated that a growing number of officials suggested including language in the post-meeting statement mentioning the possibility of rate hikes under certain conditions. The minutes stated: "Some participants judged that there was a strong case for including language in the post-meeting statement that described future policy decisions as two-sided to reflect that, in the event that inflation were to persist above the Committee's objective, it would likely be appropriate to raise the target range for the federal funds rate." Since the March meeting, several Fed policymakers have indicated a preference to keep interest rates unchanged while assessing the war's impact. Overall, policymakers' response to the war reflects their focus on risks to both sides of their dual mandate. The minutes said: "A substantial majority of participants viewed the risks to inflation as tilted to the upside and the risks to employment as tilted to the downside, with most noting that these risks had risen somewhat as the situation in the Middle East evolved." At the March meeting, Fed officials kept the benchmark policy rate in the range of 3.5% to 3.75%. (Jin10)

Svmuu News On the 8th, White House Press Secretary Levitt stated at a press conference that Iran's initial 10-point proposal was unacceptable and has been discarded. A subsequent "more reasonable and concise" plan proposed by Iran could serve as a basis for US-Iran negotiations. Levitt said that US President Trump and his team believe this new proposal from Iran could be a viable foundation for talks and could be "aligned" with the US's 15-point plan. She stated that Trump's "red line" demanding Iran cease uranium enrichment activities has not changed, and claims that Trump would accept an Iranian "wish list" style agreement are "completely absurd." Svmuu News The White House stated that U.S. Vice President Vance will lead a negotiation team for talks in Islamabad, Pakistan, this weekend. White House Press Secretary Levitt said on Wednesday local time that Vance will participate in the Iran negotiations alongside U.S. Special Envoys Witkoff and Jared Kushner. "The first round of talks will be held on Saturday morning local time, and we look forward to these face-to-face meetings," Levitt said. (Jin10)

Svmuu News According to Fed President Daly, despite the uncertainty and volatility brought by the Iran conflict, the fundamentals of the U.S. economy remain in "good shape." Daly stated, "We see consumers are still spending, and businesses are still investing." She added, "There are indeed concerns that this could push inflation higher—that's our responsibility, and we are watching it. There are also worries that the labor market might not be solid enough, but we are not seeing that; what we see is it stabilizing at a good level." (Jin10)

Svmuu News Chainalysis released a report stating that stablecoins facilitated $28 trillion in real economic activity in 2025, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 133% over the past three years. If this baseline growth rate is maintained, transaction volume could reach $719 trillion by 2035.
After further incorporating two macroeconomic factors, the report revised its forecast upward to $150 trillion. The first factor is generational wealth transfer. Approximately $100 trillion is expected to transfer from the Baby Boomer generation to Millennials and Gen Z between 2028 and 2048. Chainalysis estimates this factor alone could add $508 trillion to the annual stablecoin transaction volume by 2035. The second factor is infrastructure expansion, where stablecoin payments are integrated into point-of-sale systems for offline merchants and e-commerce, which is projected to add an extra $232 trillion in annual transaction volume.
The report points out that if this prediction materializes, stablecoin transaction volume would exceed the total value of global real estate, listed stocks, and government bonds. The number of transactions could match those of Visa and Mastercard by the mid-2030s. Standard Chartered Bank previously estimated that the stablecoin market capitalization would grow to $2 trillion by 2028. The current total stablecoin market cap is approximately $317 billion. However, this forecast is based on relatively aggressive assumptions, including widespread adoption of stablecoins for daily payments by younger generations and the ability to sustain a 133% annual growth rate for a decade.

Svmuu According to reports, AB network, which has partnered with the Trump-backed crypto project World Liberty Financial, is involved in a planned "blockchain-themed resort" project in East Timor that implicates three individuals later sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department. These individuals are linked to Cambodia's Prince Group, which is accused of operating a global scam network. Company records show that Yang Jian, the majority shareholder of the development company, was sanctioned last October for allegedly collaborating with Prince Group CEO Chen Zhi. The three sanctioned individuals have been removed from the project following the sanctions announcement. Currently, there is no evidence indicating that illicit funds have flowed into this development project or that AB network has direct ties with Prince Group.
AB network announced a partnership with World Liberty Financial last November, obtaining authorization to use the stablecoin USD1 on its blockchain. World Liberty Financial stated that it has conducted due diligence on AB and claimed it was not informed about the resort project or any sanctioned individuals related to the East Timor project. Their lawyer described the alleged connections to sanctioned figures as "baseless and untrue."
According to the FBI's 2025 Internet Crime Report, the U.S. suffered nearly $21 billion in losses from online scams last year, with cryptocurrency-related fraud losses exceeding $11 billion. The U.S. government seized $15 billion worth of Bitcoin from Chen Zhi last year. Cambodian authorities arrested Chen Zhi in January this year and extradited him to China. Currently, the maximum total supply of USD1 on World Liberty Financial's blockchain by AB network is approximately $3.6 million, held by only about 3,000 people.

Svmuu News The U.S. Treasury Department is set to release proposed rules requiring stablecoin issuers to establish standards for combating money laundering and sanctions violations. According to a summary of the proposal obtained by CoinDesk, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) under the Treasury Department will jointly formulate rules clarifying how issuers should comply with the GENIUS Act passed last year. This includes establishing control measures to block, freeze, and reject suspicious transactions.
FinCEN will require issuers' anti-money laundering programs to be capable of suspending flagged transactions and allocating more resources to high-risk customers and activities. When U.S. authorities pursue specific targets, regulated issuers must examine their own records for activities related to the flagged individuals or entities. OFAC, on the other hand, requires issuers to implement risk-based sanctions compliance safeguards in both primary and secondary markets to identify and reject transactions that may violate U.S. sanctions regulations.
The proposal emphasizes respect for the industry, stating that financial institutions best understand their own money laundering and terrorist financing risks. Companies maintaining appropriate anti-money laundering measures typically will not face enforcement actions. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that these measures will protect the U.S. financial system from national security threats while not hindering the development of U.S. businesses within the stablecoin ecosystem. The proposal will enter a public comment period and may be revised before finalization.

Svmuu News BlackRock's iShares Staked Ethereum Trust (ticker: ETHB) launched on March 12. It has a management fee of 0.25% (with a temporary promotional rate of 0.12%) and also charges an 18% commission on the total staking rewards from the approximately $318 million worth of ETH staked within the trust. This commission is split between BlackRock and Coinbase.
Based on the current ETH staking yield of approximately 2.74%, the 18% commission equates to roughly 49 basis points of the total return. Falconedge CEO Roy Kashi believes this 18% covers costs such as custody, slashing risk, validator fees, and brand premium, estimating the operational cost floor for a staking ETF to be around 5%. Richard Shorten, founder of GlobalStake, pointed out that there are numerous hidden fees before the rewards even reach the ETF.
Cosmos co-founder Ethan Buchman stated that 18% is not unreasonable for an institutional product but expects it to be compressed to 15% or even 10% in the future. Harriet Browning, Vice President of Sales at Twinstake, cautioned that excessive fee competition could lead some providers to lower standards in security and transparency. Currently, this commission rate is still lower than the maximum 25% fee paid by retail users for directly staking ETH on mainstream crypto platforms. Financial advisor Tyrone Ross questioned whether it is worth giving up 18% of the staking rewards to BlackRock and Coinbase.
