Svmuu News: Talos, an institutional crypto trading platform, has integrated with prediction market operator Kalshi, allowing select clients to trade Kalshi’s event contracts and crypto perpetual contracts through their existing digital asset trading infrastructure, without the need for a separate connection.
Talos will offer algorithmic order types such as Iceberg, TWAP, and POV, as well as multi-leg execution for perpetual-to-perpetual and perpetual-to-spot spread trading. Institutional clients can also execute block trades of Kalshi contracts through their quote platform using participating over-the-counter liquidity providers.
Talos plans to expand its dealer software to brokers and trading platforms later this year, enabling them to offer Kalshi event contracts directly to clients where authorized, and to launch a unified prediction market data feed that standardizes events, trades, order books, open interest, and implied probabilities across multiple platforms.
A CoinGecko report shows that notional trading volume in prediction markets reached $113.8 billion in the second quarter, a 48.7% increase from the previous quarter; nominal trading volume in June reached $52.8 billion, setting a new monthly record. Kalshi’s market share rose from 42.4% in the first quarter to 58.9%, while Polymarket’s fell from 35.8% to 30.2%.

Svmuu News: Trading activity on South Korea’s five major won-denominated cryptocurrency exchanges—Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, and Gopax—has contracted significantly over the past year. Based on a comparable seven-day period in July, the combined average daily trading volume across the five platforms fell from $2.82 billion to $305 million, a year-over-year decline of approximately 89%.
Calculated as a simple, unweighted average of the declines across the five platforms, the average drop in trading volume was approximately 77%. Separate statistics show that on July 20, the daily trading volume across the five major exchanges fell by 88% year-over-year, while Korbit raised approximately $1 million by selling 15 BTC and 60 ETH.
As of July 22, South Korea’s KOSPI index had risen 114.44% over the previous 12 months, even after pulling back from its June high. Tiger Research noted that the decline in South Korea’s crypto trading activity reflects not only weaker prices but is also linked to repetitive narratives, underdelivery by some projects, and retail investors shifting their focus to stocks.
