Overview of NULS PoC Consensus Mechanism
NULS is a modular blockchain infrastructure, with its core consensus mechanism being PoC (Proof-of-Credit). The PoC mechanism cleverly combines the efficiency of Delegated Proof-of-Stake (dPoS) with the security of a credit rating system, aiming to build a more stable, efficient, and decentralized network environment. As part of NULS's modular architecture, PoC allows sub-chains to replace or customize core functional modules according to their own needs, providing high flexibility for developers.

Core Principles of PoC Consensus Mechanism
The PoC mechanism distributes rewards and imposes penalties by evaluating a node's contribution and behavior within the network. Its operation mainly includes the following aspects:
- Combination of dPoS and Credit Rating: PoC draws on the voting and delegation model of dPoS while introducing a credit scoring system. A node's credit score is dynamically adjusted based on its historical behavior (e.g., block production stability, participation, etc.).
- Reward and Penalty Mechanism: The system incentivizes Agent Nodes and Stakers to actively participate in network maintenance through a reward mechanism. If an Agent Node fails to produce a block on time, it will receive a yellow card penalty, affecting its credit score and future earnings.
- Modular Design: The PoC mechanism is embedded in the NULS modular framework, meaning that sub-chains built on NULS can customize or replace the consensus module according to specific needs, adapting to different application scenarios.
PoC Application in the NULS Ecosystem

The PoC mechanism is not only the consensus foundation of the NULS mainnet but also plays a crucial role in its ecosystem, particularly through the POCM platform:
- POCM Platform (Proof of Credit Mining): This is a unique SCO (Staked Coin Offering) platform. Projects can issue their own tokens on POCM, and users can earn project tokens as rewards by staking NULS to these project nodes. At the same time, project teams also receive NULS as funding for their development and operations.
- Roles and Requirements for Participation:
- Agent Node Operator: Requires staking at least 20,000 NULS to run an agent node. An agent node needs a total stake of at least 200,000 NULS to activate and start earning rewards, with a maximum capacity of 500,000 NULS.
- Staker: Ordinary users can stake NULS and vote for agent nodes, with a minimum staking requirement typically being 2,000 NULS. Some POCM projects allow participation with minimum stakes as low as 5 NULS or 100 NULS. Staked NULS do not leave the user's wallet, enhancing security.

Security Features and Network Robustness
NULS's PoC mechanism is designed with a focus on network security and robustness:
- Protection Against Sybil Attacks: By combining staking requirements and credit ratings, the PoC mechanism can effectively resist Sybil attacks, ensuring that only reputable nodes with actual stakes can undertake critical network responsibilities.
- Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT): NULS 2.0 Beta introduced Byzantine Fault Tolerance in July 2019, further enhancing the robustness of the PoC consensus system, allowing it to maintain consistency even in the face of malicious nodes or network failures.

NULS Tokenomics and Market Overview
The NULS token is central to the NULS ecosystem, used for staking, paying transaction fees, and incentivizing network participants.
- Supply: The maximum supply of NULS is 210 million tokens. As of September 12, 2026, the circulating supply is approximately 114.25 million tokens. An additional 5 million NULS are minted annually through the PoC consensus mechanism to reward miners and ensure network security.
- Price and Market Cap: As of September 12, 2026, the current price of NULS is approximately $0.003599, with a market capitalization of approximately $411,170. Its all-time high was $8.54 (January 10, 2018), and its all-time low was $0.00001926 (February 10, 2026).
Ways to Acquire NULS

NULS tokens can be traded on exchanges that still support the coin. Investors are advised to verify listing status and liquidity and fully understand the associated risks before trading.
