Badger DAO Core Mission and Product Ecosystem
Badger DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) whose core mission is to build products and infrastructure aimed at bringing Bitcoin (BTC) into the broader decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem, including Ethereum and other blockchains. The project is committed to providing Bitcoin holders with opportunities to participate in DeFi in a decentralized manner.
Badger DAO previously launched the Badger Bridge protocol, in collaboration with Ren, enabling users to bring Bitcoin into the Ethereum ecosystem and earn DeFi yields. The project also partnered with Yearn Finance to jointly launch the largest single-asset WBTC vault in the DeFi space. Additionally, Badger DAO collaborated with Lido to develop eBTC (Ethereum-backed synthetic Bitcoin token), allowing users to borrow synthetic Bitcoin without upfront fees or interest. However, due to low adoption and lack of sustainable revenue, the Badger DAO Treasury Committee decided in June 2025 to terminate the development of the eBTC protocol.

Badger DAO has established partnerships with multiple projects during its development, including Convex, Curve, DeFi Dollar, ETHGlobal, Gitcoin, Fireblocks, Polygon, Ren, Sushiswap, UMA, and Yearn, with the aim of jointly promoting the application of Bitcoin in the DeFi space.
Governance Structure and Development History
Badger DAO adopts a token holder governance model, where BADGER token holders participate in protocol development, budget allocation, and important decisions through voting. The Badger Association, a legal entity based in Switzerland, aims to support the development of the Badger DAO ecosystem, responsible for technical and operational development, strategic partnerships, and the advancement of legal and security practices.
The Badger DAO mainnet officially launched on December 3, 2020. In March 2021, Badger completed a $21 million DAO treasury diversification, attracting strategic partners such as 0xB1, Polychain Capital, Parafi Capital, and Blockchain Capital. In April 2021, Badger DAO partnered with institutional digital asset platform Fireblocks, aiming to bring institutional Bitcoin into the DeFi space.

BADGER Token Market Performance and Challenges
As of September 17, 2026, the price of the BADGER token is approximately $0.37 to $0.40, with a 24-hour trading volume fluctuating between $115,122 and $139,551, and a market capitalization of approximately $7.2 million to $8.08 million. Its circulating supply is about 19.5 million BADGER, with a maximum supply of 21 million BADGER. BADGER's all-time high (ATH) was $89.50, set on February 8, 2021, and its recent all-time low occurred on June 26, 2026, at approximately $0.3109.
Badger DAO experienced multiple delistings from centralized exchanges in 2025, including Binance in April 2025, OKX delisting perpetual contracts in July 2025, and Crypto.com in June 2025. The common reasons given by exchanges were low token liquidity and small trading volume, which severely restricted BADGER's liquidity and investor access, and put continuous pressure on its market performance. Despite this, as of April 2026, the project remains active on social media, indicating ongoing community operations. In August 2026, the BADGER price saw an increase due to social buzz surrounding a Solana airdrop event.
According to data from market platforms such as Svmuu, as of September 11, 2026, the Fear & Greed Index shows market sentiment in the "Fear" zone, with a value of 40/100.

Investment Risks and Future Outlook
The BADGER token is highly speculative, with volatile and unpredictable price movements. Investors should be fully aware of its inherent market risks. The main challenges facing Badger DAO include insufficient token liquidity and the negative impact of centralized exchange delistings. The termination of the eBTC protocol also reflects the project's ongoing efforts to find a sustainable product-market fit.
However, with the continued growth of the Bitcoin DeFi (BTCfi) sector and increasing institutional interest in cryptocurrencies, future demand for Badger DAO's core products may be rekindled. Badger DAO's social media has hinted at potential institutional collaborations, such as with Anchorage Digital to build the BOB ecosystem, which could bring new development opportunities for the project.
