ReapChain Project Overview
ReapChain is a hybrid protocol blockchain project focused on the Internet of Things (IoT) industry. Its core technology is the independently developed PoDC (Proof of Double Committee) consensus algorithm, which combines the advantages of DPoS (Delegated Proof of Stake) and PBFT (Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance). In terms of technical implementation, ReapChain assigns unique PIDs (Product IDs) to IoT devices through its Reap SDK and enhances security through mutual verification mechanisms between devices. This effectively prevents data forgery and ensures data cleanliness and trustworthiness. The project has undergone a security audit by SlowMist to verify the security of its protocol.
REAP Token Economic Model
REAP is the native utility token of the ReapChain ecosystem, primarily serving as "fuel" to pay for transaction fees within the network. At the same time, REAP tokens are also used to incentivize ecosystem participants, including REAP holders, Standing Committee nodes, and Steering Committee nodes. These rewards mainly come from the total transaction fees generated by the network, aiming to encourage users to participate in network maintenance and governance.
The maximum supply of REAP tokens is 4.9 billion. As of September 29, 2026, its circulating supply is approximately 1.4 billion.
