- Circulating Supply: As of October 2, 2026, the circulating supply of ALGO is approximately 9.057 billion to 9.062 billion tokens. This portion of tokens has entered the market and is available for trading, representing about 91% of its maximum supply.
Issuance Plan and Circulation Mechanism
The issuance and distribution of ALGO tokens are managed by the Algorand Foundation. According to its issuance plan, the distribution of all 10 billion tokens is expected to be completed by 2030. Until then, the circulating supply will increase as the remaining ALGO held by the Algorand Foundation gradually enters the market to support ecosystem development and incentives.
Deflationary Nature and Long-Term Outlook
Algorand is designed as a deflationary cryptocurrency, with its core characteristic being a fixed maximum supply of 10 billion tokens.
