What is Qwertycoin (QWC)?
Qwertycoin (QWC) is an open-source cryptocurrency with privacy protection at its core, designed for peer-to-peer anonymous payments. It was originally launched in 2018, with its codebase based on Monero, and utilizes privacy technologies such as ring signatures, stealth addresses, and encrypted transaction amounts.
2026 New Network Launch and Major Changes
In 2026, the Qwertycoin community and developers decided to launch a brand new, independent blockchain network to address legacy issues from the old codebase (dating back to 2018) and enhance network infrastructure. This relaunch brought several key changes:
- New Genesis Block: The new chain started with a completely new genesis block, and balances from the old chain were not automatically migrated.
- 1,000:1 Token Swap: Alongside the new chain launch, a 1,000:1 token swap was conducted. Users needed to manually exchange old chain tokens for new chain tokens, as old blockchain files and wallet caches are no longer compatible.
- Consensus Mechanism Upgrade: The new network adopted the RandomX Proof-of-Work (PoW) mining algorithm and introduced the Epoch Proof-of-Service (EPoSe) mechanism, which rewards nodes that provide verifiable network services. Participation in EPoSe does not require staking QWC tokens.
As of October 2026, the new network version is in public testing, and the auditing and preparation for the EPoSe mechanism are still underway. Project development is funded by 5% of the mining rewards from the official mining pool.

Current Market Status and Data
QWC's market trading activity is very low. Prices vary significantly across different data sources, and 24-hour trading volumes are extremely low (typically in the tens of dollars range), with a market capitalization of only tens of thousands of dollars. Extremely low liquidity means that price signals may be unreliable, and market sentiment indicators are replaced by low activity. Relevant market data can be viewed on platforms such as Svmuu, but attention should be paid to its volatility and data methodologies.
Due to the almost depleted trading market, the token no longer has an active trading market and lacks effective trading depth.
Project Positioning and Future Challenges
Qwertycoin positions itself as a decentralized, community-driven payment network, emphasizing the philosophy of "no one owns or controls it." Its future development prospects depend entirely on whether the new network can successfully attract users, developers, and service nodes to build an effective ecosystem. Currently, the project is still in a critical transition and testing phase, facing the enormous challenge of rebuilding community trust and utility from a near-zero market state.
