During the New Year's Day holiday, coastal areas of Fujian are expected to see a peak in maritime passenger traffic. The Fujian Maritime Safety Administration anticipates that from January 1 to 3, 2026, 143 passenger ships will be in operation along the Fujian coast, transporting 386,500 passengers, a 51.4% increase compared to the same period last year. Among these, 15 passenger ships will operate on the cross-Strait "Mini-Three Links" routes, making 108 voyages and transporting 21,500 passengers, a 51.3% increase from the same period last year.
