The national standard draft "Solid-State Batteries for Electric Vehicles—Part 1: Terminology and Classification" has moved from the drafting stage to the public comment phase. The draft classifies batteries into liquid batteries, hybrid liquid-solid batteries, and solid-state batteries based on the method of ion transport within the battery cells; the term "semi-solid-state battery," which was previously commonly used in the industry, is not included. This aligns with information previously disclosed by the China Automotive Technology and Research Center, which indicated that the term “semi-solid-state battery” is no longer used in the terminology and classification.
