U.S. initial jobless claims fell short of expectations
In the week ending December 27, initial jobless claims in the U.S. came in at 199,000, the lowest level since the week ending November 29. This figure was lower than the market forecast of 220,000, while the previous week’s figure was revised upward from 214,000 to 215,000.
