In 2026, the subsidy program for the trade-in of home appliances and the purchase of new digital and smart products will be conducted through a process of "consumer registration, notarized random selection, and voucher issuance upon winning." In principle, a new registration round will be held every two weeks. The first registration period will run from 8:00 AM on January 1, 2026, to 8:00 PM on January 5, 2026. Vouchers will be issued from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM on January 7, 2026, and must be redeemed within 14 days of receipt. In accordance with nationally unified categories and standards, subsidies will be provided to individual consumers for the purchase of six categories of home appliances—refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, air conditioners, water heaters, and computers—that meet Grade 1 energy or water efficiency standards, as well as four categories of digital and smart products—mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches (fitness trackers), smart glasses, provided they are purchased by individual consumers. The subsidy rate is 15% of the final sales price of the aforementioned products after deducting all applicable discounts. Each person is eligible for one subsidy per product category, with a maximum subsidy of 1,500 yuan per household appliance and 500 yuan per digital or smart product.
