Southern Transitional Council of Yemen: No Troop Withdrawal; Armed Forces Remain in Their Designated Positions
The Southern Transitional Council of Yemen has responded to reports regarding the security situation. Abdullah Sheikh, the council’s head of media and cultural affairs, stated that its armed forces remain firmly in their designated positions and that there has been no withdrawal; claims of a “withdrawal” are false. He also urged residents of Marib Province to remain vigilant against the threat posed by Houthi forces. Mohammed Najib, a spokesperson for the armed forces under the Southern Transitional Council, stated that their forces are currently on high alert and in a state of full combat readiness, with stable deployments across all operational areas.
