WTI February crude oil futures closed down $0.53, or 0.91%, at $57.42 per barrel, marking a year-to-date decline of nearly 20% in 2025. Brent February crude futures closed down $0.48, or 0.78%, at $60.85 per barrel. They have fallen more than 18% so far in 2025, marking the largest annual decline since 2020 and the third consecutive year of declines, setting a record for the longest losing streak in history.
