Led by tech and internet stocks, the broader market continued to climb, with gains expanding to over 500 points. Hang Seng Index The market opened 86 points higher at 25,717 points. Subsequently, with strong buying momentum, the market broke through the 26,000-point threshold in one go, rising as much as 586 points intraday to a high of 26,217 points and moving above the 100-day moving average.At the close, the Hang Seng Index index rose 2.18% in early trading, while the Tech Index gained 3.38%. Hang Seng Index Total market turnover reached HK$76.87 billion. In the market, tech and internet stocks led the rally, with semiconductor stocks extending their winning streak to a week. Retail, power equipment, and gaming software stocks also strengthened;biopharmaceutical and cosmetics stocks continued to underperform, while film and television, heavy machinery, and food stocks saw volatile pullbacks. Among individual stocks, Beren Technology (06082.HK) surged over 72% on its first day of trading,Huahong Semiconductor (01347.HK) rose nearly 10%, Baidu (09888.HK) gained 7.5%, Kingdee International (00268.HK) rose over 6%, and Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings (01038.HK) fell 1.1%.
