Chinese scientists have successfully developed SPARK-seq, an integrated platform capable of simultaneously identifying cell surface markers and capturing targeted nucleic acid aptamer probes at single-cell resolution. This technology provides a novel tool for molecular recognition, novel target discovery, and precision medicine research, and is expected to open up new therapeutic avenues for numerous diseases that currently lack effective treatments due to unknown targets. This research achievement, a collaboration between Academician Tan Weihong and Researcher Wu Qin’s team at the Hangzhou Institute of Medical Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was published online on January 1 in the international academic journal *Science*.
