China's Commodity Price Index has risen month-on-month for eight consecutive months
The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing announced today (the 5th) that China’s Commodity Price Index for December 2025 stood at 117.9 points. Looking at the index’s performance, the commodity market continues to recover, with both supply and demand showing sustained improvement. Business confidence and market sentiment are positive, laying a solid foundation for the economy to maintain its stable and positive momentum this year. In December 2025, China’s Commodity Price Index stood at 117.9 points, marking a month-on-month increase of 3.2%. This marks the eighth consecutive month of month-on-month growth and represents the highest level since June 2024. Among the 50 commodities closely monitored by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, prices for 31 commodities rose month-on-month in December 2025. Among them, lithium carbonate, refined tin, and apples saw the largest increases, rising by 15.5%, 11.7%, and 8.5% respectively compared to the previous month. (CCTV News)
