On January 5, Eastern Time, at CES 2026, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang delivered a keynote speech and made the following major announcement: NVIDIA announced the launch of “Alpamayo,” the world’s first intelligent automotive AI system capable of thinking, reasoning, and autonomous driving.The system employs an end-to-end training approach, covering the entire process from camera input to actuator output. NVIDIA released the Nemotron model for voice, multimodal retrieval-augmented generation, and security applications. The company also introduced NVIDIA Cosmos, an open-world foundation model with human-like reasoning capabilities. NVIDIA Launched the new Clara AI model, bridging the gap between digital exploration and real-world healthcare. NVIDIA will provide a full-stack autonomous driving solution for the 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLA. Launched the Vera Rubin platform, featuring six new chips designed to build an AI supercomputer.Products based on the Rubin chip architecture will be available in the second half of 2026.Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and OCI will deploy Vera Rubin-based instances in 2026.Microsoft’s “Fairwater” AI superfactory will expand to house hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA Vera Rubin superchips.
