On the eve of the official opening of the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, a company backed and powered by OpenAI unveiled a household humanoid robot named Neo, priced at $20,000. Standing approximately 168 centimeters tall and weighing about 30 kilograms, Neo is priced at $20,000 or available via a subscription model costing $499 per month with a minimum six-month contract. The company plans to begin delivering the robot to U.S. consumers this year and expand to other markets next year. Neo was developed by 1X Technologies, a U.S.-Norwegian joint venture.
