According to the latest statistics from State Grid Gansu Electric Power Company, as of the end of December 2025, Gansu’s total installed capacity of renewable energy exceeded 80 million kilowatts, reaching 80.4156 million kilowatts—a year-on-year increase of 24.9%. Renewable energy now accounts for over 64% of the province’s total installed power generation capacity. Gansu’s renewable energy has thus evolved from a “supplementary power source” to a “primary power source.” In 2025, the province’s renewable energy generation totaled approximately 96.3 billion kilowatt-hours, a 19% increase from the previous year. This is equivalent to saving 11.8351 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 75.0458 million tons. (Xinhua News Agency)
