Today, according to the China State Railway Nanning Bureau, in 2025, the New Western Land-Sea Corridor freight trains transported 1.425 million TEUs of containerized cargo, a year-on-year increase of 47.6%, marking a new five-year high. Zhao Jian, Deputy Station Master of Qinzhou Port East Station at the Coastal Railway Company of the Nanning Bureau of China State Railway, stated that shipments from the port to western regions include both daily necessities and raw materials for production, while goods exported via the port include auto parts, lemons from Chongqing, and tea from Guizhou, among other specialty products. In 2025, the railway authorities increased the number of scheduled train routes in response to transportation demands along the corridor. As of now, there are a total of 44 scheduled train routes for the Western Land-Sea New Channel, an increase of 21 routes compared to the end of 2024. By the end of 2025, over the past five years, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor will have transported a cumulative total of 4.652 million TEUs of containerized cargo. With annual shipment volumes setting new records year after year, the service has provided convenient transportation solutions and injected strong momentum into promoting economic and trade exchanges among countries and regions along the corridor.
