According to an announcement by Huaneng Hydropower, the company generated 126.932 billion kWh of electricity in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 13.32%, with grid-connected electricity reaching 125.858 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 13.36%. The main reasons for the year-on-year increase in power generation in 2025 are as follows: First, electricity demand increased year-on-year, with both domestic consumption in Yunnan Province and power transmission under the "West-to-East Power Transmission" initiative rising year-on-year; second, the TB and Yingliangbao hydropower stations became fully operational, significantly expanding the installed capacity of new energy sources and driving the year-on-year increase in power generation; Third, water inflows at the Nuozhadu section of the Lancang River basin were 15% higher than the previous year. The company made every effort to maximize power generation during the main flood season, effectively releasing the stored hydropower potential.
