A symposium for portable power bank and battery manufacturers was held on the 8th in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, to discuss the development and implementation of the *Technical Specifications for the Safety of Portable Power Banks*. The meeting emphasized that portable power bank and battery manufacturers must adhere to a people-centered approach, strengthen their sense of responsibility and commitment to safety standards, and treat the implementation of these standards as a key strategy for enhancing their core competitiveness, thereby preventing substandard products from entering the market at the source. Efforts should focus on the core requirements of the standards to comprehensively improve product safety and quality, ensuring that safety principles are integrated throughout the entire product lifecycle—from R&D and production to sales. Collaboration must be strengthened, with enhanced cooperation across the entire industrial chain and the full utilization of industry associations as connecting links, to jointly drive the industry toward safer, higher-end, and smarter development.
