Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Announces Successful Pilot of Cross-Border Digital RMB Payment Platform Services
Svmuu News: The official WeChat account of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) announced that it has successfully launched a pilot program for the cross-border digital payment platform using digital yuan. As part of this initiative, ICBC’s Singapore branch has actively implemented the innovative pilot project for overseas top-ups of digital yuan personal wallets, as agreed upon by the 2025 China-Singapore Joint Committee on Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC). ICBC’s Vientiane Branch and ICBC’s Shandong Branch have successfully processed the first cross-border digital yuan remittance under an international trade transaction between China and Laos.
