Donald Trump The government is considering spending money to persuade Greenlanders to "join" the United States
Svmuu News: According to four people familiar with the matter, U.S. officials have discussed providing one-time payments to Greenlanders in an attempt to persuade them to secede from Denmark and potentially “join” the United States. Although the exact amount and method of payment remain unclear, sources revealed that U.S. officials—including White House officials—had discussed payments ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 per person. The idea of making direct payments to residents of Greenland, a Danish overseas territory, could explain how the U.S. is attempting to “buy” the island, which has a population of 57,000, even though both Danish and Greenlandic authorities insist that Greenland is not for sale.
