JPMorgan: Cryptocurrency ETF inflows rebounded in January; market selling pressure may have eased
Svmuu News: JPMorgan analysts say that following outflows in December, cryptocurrency ETF inflows are stabilizing in January.A report led by analyst Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou noted that while global equity ETFs recorded a record $235 billion in inflows, the "Bitcoin" and "Ethereum" ETFs still saw outflows last month.Current indicators, such as ETF capital flows and positions in the perpetual futures market, suggest that selling pressure in the cryptocurrency market may be easing. Analysts believe that the recent correction in the cryptocurrency market was primarily driven by investors’ risk-averse behavior following MSCI’s October announcement of a potential index exclusion, rather than a deterioration in market liquidity.MSCI’s decision not to exclude Bitcoin and cryptocurrency financial firms from its global equity benchmark review in February 2026 may further support market stability.
